Tia McLean

MScPT

Tia is a trauma-informed physiotherapist who offers a safe, compassionate space for people and their children — especially when they feel unsure where to go next. With a background in neuroscience and post-graduate training in pelvic health, she blends clinical knowledge with an evidence-based, family-centered approach.

Tia supports people through pregnancy, birth preparation, postpartum recovery, C-section rehab, pelvic pain, incontinence, prolapse, and more. She also has a special interest in chronic pain, connective tissue disorders such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and gender-affirming pelvic care. In pediatrics, Tia supports those with a wide range of concerns including bedwetting, daytime accidents, constipation, and pelvic floor dysfunction, with experience supporting children with neurological conditions such as spina bifida. She also works with infants and children with torticollis, motor delays, toe walking, and other developmental concerns.

In addition to her years of work in the private practice setting, she has provided care at both the Stollery Children’s Hospital and the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, and is now practicing at the Westside location of Summerside Physiotherapy. She is driven by a deep desire to be the steady, trusted support for families navigating tough questions — and to help each client feel heard, understood, and confidently cared for.

Tia looks forward to being a part of your healthcare team.
