Here is some useful information to know before contacting us.


Hours

We try to accomodate our clients whenever possible by finding a convenient time for them to book in. For that reason, our schedule changes based on client need. However, here are our general booking hours that we try to follow:

For Physiotherapy
Monday 8am - 7pm
Tuesday 8am - 7pm
Wednesday 8am - 7pm
Thursday 8am - 7pm
Friday 8am - 2pm
Saturday 8am - 2pm (By appointment)


For Occupational Therapy
All Occupational Therapy bookings are made on a By Appointment basis


Funding

Your therapy may be covered by the following potential funders. Please don't hesitate to call us if you have any questions regarding funding and re-imbursement for your physiotherapy.

Alberta Health Care (Community Rehab Program)
As of January 1, 2011, Summerside Physio has access to the Community Rehab Program (formerly known as Alberta Health Care) funding for physiotherapy. In most cases, the program will pay for one assessment per body site per year, and if you qualify, you may have access to up to two more treatments. There is also special consideration for fractures, post surgical, neurological injury, and low income status, which may entitle you to more visits. Please contact the clinic for more information including eligibility criteria, or if you have any questions about the program.

Extended Health Benefits
Many people have extended health benefits through work or through a family member that covers both physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Look into what your plan requires for documentation for re-imbursement, and we will be happy to provide all the paperwork you need.

Motor Vehicle Accident Claim
Most recent motor vehicle accident claims can be direct billed to the insurance company. In most circumstances, clients making a MVA claim can receive 100% of treatments without ever paying out of pocket or submitting for re-imburesement. Please contact us or your motor vehicle insurance company for details or if you have any questions.

WCB
Workers Compensation Board claims are now accepted at Summerside Physio. Once you have completed your injury report forms and had a medical assesment by your doctor, contact us to book your assesment.

FSCD Funding
If you have already been approved for Family Support for Children with Disabilities funding and would like to use your funding dollars for physiotherapy or occupational therapy in our clinic, please contact us! We would be happy to answer any questions you have.


Fees

Here is our fee schedule for all therapies

Initial Assesment: $100 (Includes first treatment)
Follow Up Treatment: $60
1 Hour Treatment: $100 (one on one session)
Following your initial assesment, your therapist will help determine whether a 30 minute or 60 minute treatment is recomended. 1 hour follow up treatments are typically needed for all neurological rehabilitation.
Cancellation Fee: $20
Out of respect for other clients who may need the appointment, the cancellation fee will be charged for any visits cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.
